Week 39 - 2023
The weeknote for 9/25 - 10/1.
Job
Rust
- I've been writing many Rust this week to change the resolution of Node builtin modules. https://github.com/denoland/deno/pull/20728
Event
TC39 JSConf.jp meetup
- There was a meetup about TC39 topics on Monday, organized by JSConf JP members. Many TC39 members joined the event, including @littledan, @lucacasonato, @nicolo-riboudo, @Jack-Works, etc. Daniel Minor presented about the internal of SpiderMonkey. I often see the presentation about V8 in Japan. I've once or twice seen the presentation about JavaScriptCore, but I've never heard the talk about the internals of SpiderMonkey. So it was very interesting.
Pixiv Meetup
- I joined Pixiv Meetup on Friday, invited by @petamoriken. It was nice that I was able to meet @petamoriken in person. The conference was of very high quality, but I couldn't find much interesting tech talks in there probably because the focus of the interest is a bit different from my concern. Their main language is PHP, and they are trying to adopt Ruby on rails. They are also trying to adopt Next.js in frontend in the next iteration.
Life
Tomica
-
We've been buying a lot of Tomica mini cars to Rei these days. It was first only for Rei, but nowadays the parents also started loving them.

Accident
-
There was a car accident near my house. My partner was walking on the same street when the accident happened, and she heard the huge crash sound (She didn't see it because it happened behind her). I went to the crash site, and saw a Porsche (probaby Panamera?) and a Lexus (probably NX?) were completely broken.
